Sustainability

At Tropicana, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—from the way we grow and pack our produce to how we distribute it across the country. We’re committed to reducing waste, conserving resources, and supporting local communities, ensuring our operations are as responsible and future-focused as they are efficient. By investing in smarter farming practices, energy-efficient facilities, and meaningful partnerships, we’re working to leave a lighter footprint and a stronger legacy for generations to come.

Renewable energy

We’re investing in renewable energy solutions across our farms and facilities, including the use of solar power to reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources. By harnessing clean energy, we’re cutting emissions and moving towards a more sustainable, low-impact future for Australian agriculture.

Waste reduction

We’re committed to minimising waste across every stage of our supply chain. Each week, we donate approximately 2 tonnes of waste bananas to Foodbank, turning excess produce into valuable support for those in need. Through smart resource management and thoughtful partnerships, we’re ensuring that good food never goes to waste.

Habitat conservation

We actively support habitat conservation efforts to protect the natural environments surrounding our farms. By implementing sustainable land management practices and partnering with organisations focused on environmental protection, we’re helping to preserve local ecosystems and biodiversity for future generations.
